Description

The mid-80s was a "golden" era for the sports teams in the Washington, DC area. The Orioles won the 1983 World Series, and the Redskins were a dominating force, making back-to-back Super Bowl appearances. One of the biggest "buzz" stories during that colorful era was the highly publicized 7-1/2 year relationship between Redskins' quarterback JOE THEISMANN and the gorgeous actress and star of That's Incredible, CATHY LEE CROSBY. Theismann presented Cathy Lee with her own ladies style 1983 NFC Championship ring, a stunning piece, crafted specifically for her. The Josten's manufactured 10K yellow gold ring, size 7-1/2 - 8, is home to a 0.25ct genuine marquis diamond centered around a "Redskin burgundy" stone. The edge surrounding the stone reads: "1983 WASHINGTON REDSKINS N.F.C. CHAMPIONS" with the "chief head" Redskin logo on the left shank and an emblem depicting olive branches and leaves tied together on the right shank. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to own a piece of history from one of the most talked-about relationships in sports and entertainment history. This piece will come with a letter from Jewels On Lake Jewelers attesting to the authenticity of the diamond, plus a letter from Cathy Lee, attesting to the authenticity of the ring and how it was obtained.
